This magnificent and demanding walk around the majestic snow (APU) Ausangate the highest in the Cordillera Vilcanota, develop into a spectacular and diverse geography, geology, erosion, deglaciation, glaciers, wildlife, flora and quaint customs Andean people of Peru, can be appreciated and enjoyed, in the capital of Peru handmade textiles, dances Valley Ausangate.



Day 1: Cusco / Ocongate / Tinqui

On the first day of issue, we begin our bus at 6:00 am. To leave for the town of Tinqui, passing through picturesque villages along the river valley Huatanay and beautiful stretches of cultivated land in the vicinity of camp Tinqui. (Lunch, snack and dinner).


Day 2: Tinqui / Upis

After breakfast, very early began our trek toward the base of the majestic Ausangate (6372m) watching high Andean customs of the people in this area and also enjoy the presence of large amounts of Llamas, Alpacas, Pacos. Also visit the small town of Upis (4140m) and then headed towards the sector of Hot Springs where we camp (at the foot of Mount) (breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack, dinner).


Day 3: Upis / Laguna Pucacocha

After breakfast, very early, remount Arapa pass (4700m) and then descend to the lagoons Paucarcocha known by the names of Jatun Pucacocha, Vinacocha and Huchuy Punacocha, where we not only beautiful landscapes but we also appreciate Andean bird species , camp on the shores of a lagoon. (4575m). (Breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack, dinner).


Day 4: Gaps Pucacocha - Step Palomini - and Chilcapinaya

This day we will see the deglaciation of Mount Ausangate. Ascend Alcatani pass (4650m), continue the journey down to Lake Ausangatecocha, and then climb to the pass Palomani (5050m) where we will have views of particular beauty, then descend to Chilcapinaya where we camp. (Breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack, dinner).


Day 5: Chilcapinaya / Jampa Valley - Pachaspata

Our journey along the Jampa Valley where we will see Andean people in traditional costumes of the region as well as many groups of alpacas, sheep, llamas, few ascend our last pass (4600 m) then observe the, beautiful lagoon Ticllacocha, Pachaspata Pampas of camping on the banks of the lagoon Qomercancha. (Breakfast, lunch, snack and dinner).


Day 6: Laguna Qomercocha / Pacchanta

Accompanied by magnificent high Andean landscapes descend to the village of Pacchanta, and then get to the hot springs the same as you will better reward for those who want to cool off in these hot baths and relaxers have a wonderful view of the imposing Mount Ausangate camp near the town. (Breakfast, lunch, snack and dinner).


Day 7: Pacchanta / Tinqui / Cusco

After a brief tour through typical Andean landscape Tinqui reach where we boarded our bus back to Cusco. (Breakfast, lunch).
